Kaspersky Lab announces its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2013, the largest ICT exhibition in the Middle East, taking place on October 20-24 in Dubai and bringing together representatives from 144 countries. The event will see the company’s leading experts, including Chief Technology Officer Nikolay Grebennikov, speak about the recent security situation in the region, share their experience and showcase technologies for corporate and consumer protection.
During the five-day event, the Kaspersky Lab stand at A1-3 in Hall 1 will exhibit a leading portfolio of security solutions including the recently launched consumer product Kaspersky Internet Security – Multi-Device, and the flagship corporate product Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business. Every day at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. visitors to the stand can find out more about multi-device protection, the impact of cyber war on corporate security as well as new partner opportunities. 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. presentations will give an overview of business protection, anti-malware technologies for private and public clouds, mobile payments and security intelligence. Kaspersky Lab executives will be available all day to discuss security trends and new technologies.
Being an exclusive sponsor of Smart Sessions, taking place in the SS theatre, Kaspersky Lab will also present two keynotes focused on addressing current security issues. Taking place at 4:30 pm on October 20 the first of these sessions is dedicated to effective security of private and public cloud environments. The second session at 2 p.m. on October 22 will address the acute need for mobile security in a region with very high smartphone penetration.
To add an element of fun, the Kaspersky Lab stand will also feature a Kaspersky Lab Racing Track where visitors can try their hand at driving toy Formula 1 cars and take part in mini races to win some great prizes.
Activities for the media
In addition to the activities for the general public, journalists are welcome to participate in a Kaspersky Lab press conference where Nikolay Grebennikov, CTO of Kaspersky Lab, and Stefan Tanase, Senior Security Researcher, EEMEA, Global Research and Analysis Team, will speak about Internet threats in the region and recent trends in secure online payments. The press event will take place at 11:00 on October 21 in ‘AL AIN K’ Meeting room (above hall 5).
