Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, has chosen Europe's largest IT exhibition, CeBIT, as a platform to demonstrate that the company is "Always ahead with winning performance and technology". From 1 to 5 March, 2011, the company's IT security experts will be at the trade show bringing people up to date on the latest IT threats and informing them about Kaspersky Lab's newest solutions. In addition, Kaspersky Lab's stand [D37, Hall 11] will play host to a genuine Ferrari Formula 1 racing car - proving that motor racing and IT security really do go hand-in-hand. Visitors will also have the opportunity to test their driving abilities in an F1 simulator.

This year's main focus will be on small companies with 10 or less employees. Statistics show that last year, 41%* of freelance workers' and small business owners' computers were infected with malware. This figure shows how important it is to make businesses aware of the risks they face. After all, it is not just about data loss; a company's very existence can easily be put at stake. That`s why Kaspersky Lab have created Kaspersky Small Office Security 2, a solution designed especially with small businesses in mind and which will be showcased at CeBIT.

However, the risks to mobile technology and the security of social networks are also on the agenda. In addition to Kaspersky Small Office Security 2, the latest version of Kaspersky Mobile Security 9, which now supports the BlackBerry and Android platforms, will be unveiled too.

The Press Breakfast (Tuesday, 01 March, 10:00 a.m.) will take a look at the history of Kaspersky Lab, where the company is right now and what the future has in store. Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab, Eugene Buyakin, COO, and Roger Wilson, Vice President of Marketing, will discuss the development of the company and its new partnerships, present strategies for growth and speak about the company's sponsorship of Scuderia Ferrari. The year 2011 will see the mobile revolution gather even more pace, and with this in mind, the risks to mobile technology will be addressed too. The press conference will take place in the Berlin Room of the Convention Center (Ground Floor) and will be conducted in English.

The 'Small Businesses – Small on Security?' press conference will also take place at the same location (Berlin Room, Convention Center) on Tuesday 01 March at 11:15 a.m., The conference will see Marco Preuß, Senior Virus Analyst, and Chris Hopper, Product Marketing Manager, discuss the latest IT threats to small businesses and demonstrate how the new Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 software provides companies with the best possible protection. The conference will be conducted in English.

The Analysts Roundtable has become something of a tradition and will take place on Wednesday 02 March, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. [Room Bonn 2, Convention Center]. This year's topic for discussion will be Corporate Malware Trends in 2011 and your hosts will be the Virus Analysts Magnus Kalkuhl, Marco Preuß, Christian Funk, Stefan Tanase and Vicente Diaz. The use of social networks in the business environment, security strategies for smartphones and targeted attacks on businesses are just some of the items up for discussion. The conference will be conducted in English.

In addition to the press events, the persons listed below are also available for one-to-one interviews: Eugene Kaspersky (CEO), Eugene Buyakin (COO), Roger Wilson (Vice President Marketing), Magnus Kalkuhl (Senior Virus Analyst), Marco Preuß (Senior Virus Analyst), Christian Funk (Virus Analyst), Stefan Tanase (Senior Regional Researcher), Vicente Diaz (Senior Malware Analyst), Llijana Vavan (Acting Managing Director, Europe and Director, Corporate Business Division, Europe), Chris Hopper (Product Marketing Manager, Europe)
