Géraldine will join Eugene Kaspersky in Bali to discuss the art of taking calculated risks, reading the anarchy of nature, and succeeding even when the standard manual fails.
Kaspersky has officially announced that world-renowned freerider, BASE jumper, and wingsuit pioneer Géraldine Fasnacht will join the upcoming Kaspersky Security Analyst Summit (SAS) 2026 as a special guest speaker. SAS will be taking place on October 20-23 in Bali, Indonesia.
In a raw panel discussion titled Chaos, Cliffs & Trust – Forging Security Beyond the Grid, Géraldine will join cybersecurity visionary and explorer Eugene Kaspersky. Together, they will explore how true safety and real control in high-stakes environments are achieved not just by passively following rigid guidelines, but by actively taking calculated risks, deciphering the anarchy of unpredictable conditions and variables, and taking 100% personal accountability.
Both speakers bring legendary, real-world experience to the stage. Géraldine has opened history-making lines down the icy vertical faces of the Matterhorn, Grand Combin, Grandes Jorasses, and the uncharted peaks of Antarctica and Baffin Island. Eugene has navigated the freezing wilderness of the Kolyma Highway in -50°C Siberian winters, went down into volcanic craters, and – just like Geraldine – has faced the ultimate, wind-swept isolation at the South Pole and the icy shores of Antarctica.
“Whether you are standing on a wind-swept peak preparing for a BASE jump or analyzing a complex avalanche risk, you learn very quickly that nature is the ultimate anarchist – it doesn’t care about human protocols, and it does not negotiate. Being in control is about knowing your gear, reading the shifting weather patterns, and owning every decision you make when facing that anarchy. Most important of all, you learn that you cannot survive alone. Safety comes from the crew roped up next to you – the absolute, unwavering peer trust you share when you are out on the edge. I am excited to join SAS to share how we can confidently face the unpredictable and carve our own lines,” said Géraldine Fasnacht.
