They will also reveal more about “The Mask”, a recently discovered targeted attack, discuss critical issues for CIOs such as mobile protection, and how to stay safe from advanced persistent threats, cyber fraud, etc.
“With 315,000 new malicious programs detected every day, we are increasingly prone to cybercrimes that can be devastating to firms and individuals; this calls for extensive security policies. CIOs must also be aware of external as well as internal threats in order to keep organizations safe,” commented Mohamad Amin Hasbini, Senior Security Researcher, Global Research & Analysis Team, Kaspersky Lab.
The theme of this year’s summit is ‘Being a CIO in the New Business World of Tech+ Transformation’, and brings together the region's top 100+ CIOs to acquire distilled and compact insights into IT strategies, emerging technologies, and best practices that have direct implications on their businesses.
On 24 February at 15:30 during plenary discussion Mohamad Amin Hasbini will shed light on the massive cyber espionage operation that uncovered “The Mask” which has infected computers across 27 countries, including those in the Middle East and Africa.
