We take a comprehensive approach to this, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/blog\/kaspersky-password-manager-authenticator\/48841\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">adding new features<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/blog\/necro-infects-android-users\/52201\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">combating emerging malware<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/blog\/switch-to-kaspersky\/50885\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">simplifying migration<\/a>, and continually enhancing user experience.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we\u2019re excited to introduce a major update to <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Password Manager<\/a> for mobile devices. This update will roll out across all app stores throughout November 2024. We\u2019re confident this refresh will make storing and managing passwords, two-factor authentication codes, and encrypted documents even easier. In this article, we\u2019ll cover advanced filtering, search functionality, synchronization, and more.\n<\/p>\n<h2>Highlights<\/h2>\n<p>\nThe mobile version of our <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">password manager<\/a>\u00a0is celebrating its 10<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a0anniversary this year (while the desktop version turns 15), and in those 10 years we\u2019ve managed to consolidate all the best features into a single app. In recent years, we\u2019ve been conducting extensive <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Password Manager<\/a>\u00a0user-behavior research and, based on the findings, we\u2019ve completely revamped the navigation in our mobile app.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s new:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The side menu has been replaced with a navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. The product\u2019s core features are now organized into sections.<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve created a dedicated section for the in-app search, and improved the search scenarios.<\/li>\n<li>Managing favorite entries is now more convenient; they\u2019re now pinned at the top of the list.<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ve added a \u201cSync\u201d button and placed it in a prominent location.<\/li>\n<li>The password generator, import, and security-check features have been grouped into a separate \u201cTools\u201d section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nThese changes are available to all <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Password Manager<\/a>\u00a0users on both Android (app version 9.2.106 and later) and iOS (app version 9.2.92 and later).\n<\/p>\n<h2>Navigation bar<\/h2>\n<p>\nAll core <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Password Manager<\/a>\u00a0functions are now accessible through the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_52627\" style=\"width: 1252px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2024\/11\/19131624\/new-design-kaspersky-password-manager-01-EN.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-52627\" class=\"size-full wp-image-52627\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2024\/11\/19131624\/new-design-kaspersky-password-manager-01-EN.jpeg\" alt=\"Updated home screen of Kaspersky Password Manager for iOS (left) and Android (right)\" width=\"1242\" height=\"1344\"><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-52627\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Updated home screen of Kaspersky Password Manager for iOS (left) and Android (right)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Let\u2019s look at each element of the new bar from left to right.\n<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<strong>All Entries. <\/strong>This is the main menu \u2013 the heart of our <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">password manager<\/a><strong>. <\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Subscription. <\/strong>Here, you can view your current subscription, including the expiry date and provider. If you don\u2019t have a subscription, you can create or log in to a <a href=\"https:\/\/my.kaspersky.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">My Kaspersky<\/a> account to activate or purchase one.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Tools.<\/strong> Here, you\u2019ll find the \u201cPassword Generator\u201d, \u201cPassword Check\u201d, and \u201cImport Passwords\u201d tools. The names speak for themselves. With a single click, you can create <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/blog\/kaspersky-international-password-day-2024\/51095\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">strong, unique passwords<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/blog\/kaspersky-international-password-day-2024\/51095\/?srsltid=AfmBOoom3kqi5Ytm_C0BZOpDTys1WWj-PRe-eSHucVjwuhlWJj5Zqhg1#:~:text=How%20we%20check%20your%20data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">check your existing passwords<\/a> for uniqueness, strength, security, and compromise in data breaches, and import passwords from built-in browser password managers and similar products into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/blog\/kaspersky-international-password-day-2024\/51095\/?srsltid=AfmBOoom3kqi5Ytm_C0BZOpDTys1WWj-PRe-eSHucVjwuhlWJj5Zqhg1#:~:text=Why%20storing%20passwords%20in%20Kaspersky%20Password%20Manager%20is%20easier%20and%20safer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">our secure vault<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Search.<\/strong> If you\u2019re an active internet user and have dozens or even hundreds of unique passwords for different accounts saved in <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Password Manager<\/a>, simply click on the magnifying glass icon and type just a few characters to quickly find the entry you need.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Settings.<\/strong> This is where you can enable notifications, change your primary password, configure auto-lock and login methods, choose sorting options, access help resources, check the app version, and log out of your account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>New filtering<\/h2>\n<p>\nLet\u2019s dive a little deeper. Another additional feature is the option to select entry categories within a section. Now, clicking \u201cAll Entries\u201d opens a dropdown menu with these categories: websites, apps, other, bank cards, documents, addresses, notes, authenticator, and folders (you can create new folders as needed).<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_52626\" style=\"width: 1252px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2024\/11\/19131641\/new-design-kaspersky-password-manager-02-EN.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-52626\" class=\"size-full wp-image-52626\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2024\/11\/19131641\/new-design-kaspersky-password-manager-02-EN.jpeg\" alt=\"New entry category display in Kaspersky Password Manager for iOS (left) and Android (right)\" width=\"1242\" height=\"1344\"><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-52626\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">New entry category display in Kaspersky Password Manager for iOS (left) and Android (right)<\/p><\/div>\n<h2>Other additions<\/h2>\n<p>\nIn the top right corner, you\u2019ll notice a new \u201cSync\u201d icon \u2013 replacing the \u201cSearch\u201d button, which now resides in the navigation bar. Clicking this new icon displays the current synchronization status of your entries between your cloud storage and devices. If everything is in order, and your smartphone is connected to the internet and operating normally, you\u2019ll see \u201cAll data is synced\u201d with the date and time of the last sync. To refresh the data manually, click \u201cSync\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Search function has not only gotten its own tab in the navigation bar, but now also remembers your last search within the current session. For example, let\u2019s say you were searching for your virtual card details while shopping, then switched to the \u201cAll Entries\u201d menu, checked the settings and sync status, and then returned to \u201cSearch\u201d. Your query and results will remain, despite your little wander through <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Password Manager<\/a><strong>.<\/strong> However, if you restart the app or clear the search, you\u2019ll have to enter the query again.\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Important note for <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Password Manager<\/a>\u00a0users on iOS 18. Due to Apple\u2019s policies, the default source for auto-filling passwords and logins in iOS 18 is Apple\u2019s built-in \u201cPasswords\u201d app, not <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Password Manager<\/a><strong>. <\/strong>This is easy to fix:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>After updating to iOS 18, you need to launch Apple\u2019s \u201cPasswords\u201d app at least once. This will activate the \u201cAutoFill &amp; Passwords\u201d section in your device settings.<\/li>\n<li>Go to \u201cAutoFill &amp; Passwords\u201d in the device settings.<\/li>\n<li>Select <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Password Manager<\/a>\u00a0as the preferred password auto-filling source.<\/li>\n<li>In the \u201cSet Up Codes In\u201d section, select <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Password Manager<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\nEverything is now set for secure password management. On Android devices, when you first launch <a href=\"https:\/\/me-en.kaspersky.com\/password-manager?icid=me-en_kdailyplacehold_acq_ona_smm__onl_b2c_kasperskydaily_wpplaceholder____kpm___\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the password manager<\/a>, enable autofill permissions.
