In this case, the privacy violation is Ring’s sharing data with third parties. Sticking with the topic of privacy, we hop across the pond and look at the GDPR — everyone’s favorite topic. This week, we discuss the financial impact of the regulation and compare it with regulations in the US.

For our third story, we jump into the world of corporate espionage. This fitness-related story has some underlying data management issues that should make lots of companies look in the mirror.

Our fourth story showcases the return of the notorious OurMine group. Instead of hacking into the celebrity or C-suite accounts with which they have become synonymous, the group gained access to 15 National Football League (NFL) team accounts. Finally, we revisit Windows 7’s end of life. Microsoft said it was done with fixes for the aged operating system, but it seems they spoke a bit too soon.

If you like what you heard, please consider sharing with your friends or subscribing.
